The company is the sole manufacturer of Graphite Optics and one of the very few global manufacturers of the most widely known form of well-aligned PG — classical HOPG (Highly Oriented Pyrolytic Graphite) crystals.

Since the foundation in 2006, Optigraph GmbH has focused its activities on the production and development of various forms of well aligned Pyrolytic Graphite (well-aligned PG). Possessing access to the annealing-shop, Optigraph has the ability to vary purposely the annealing parameters of the manufacturing process. As a result, two new forms of well-aligned PG were developed and a new type of X-ray optics — Graphite Optics was created and introduced to the market. Optigraph GmbH is currently the unique global manufacturer of Graphite Optics.
